Mr. Abd Al-Ghani Attari, Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Mr. Ali Faroun, Chairman of the Board of Directors/ Authorized Official of Rowwad Foundation, together with an accompanying delegation consisting of Mr. Ashraf Yassin, Mr. Suhaib Al-Sharif, and Mr. Mohammad Khair Issa, Credit Manager.
At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Attari welcomed the delegation and provided a comprehensive briefing on the Chamber’s ongoing projects, its operational framework, and its role in safeguarding the interests of its General Assembly members and delivering high-quality services. He further underscored the Chamber’s role in fostering new investment opportunities and advancing the development of existing enterprises, with particular emphasis on small and micro enterprises, which constitute the overwhelming majority of economic activities in Palestine.
For his part, Mr. Faroun, together with the accompanying delegation, presented a comprehensive briefing on the Rowwad’s operational architecture, its financial support mechanisms, and the range of financing instruments it deploys, as well as its overarching policy framework oriented towards the advancement of economic development. In this context, the delegation submitted a request to the Chamber to collaborate on the formulation of a targeted support program for priority sectors most in need, to be developed on the basis of a structured needs-based assessment and in full alignment with the institution’s credit policy framework.
Within this context, Mr. Attari commended Rowwad's developmental role and its contribution to the promotion of investment activity, while reaffirming the Chamber’s willingness to leverage its services and information resources in order to facilitate the delivery of banking and financing solutions to both start-ups and existing enterprises requiring financial support. Eventually, the meeting concluded with an agreement to proceed with the formalization of a cooperation agreement in this regard, to be duly signed between the Chamber and Rowwad Foundation.
