Mr. Faroun holds a BA in Banking Management from Gazi University in Türkiye and an MA in Financial and Banking Sciences from the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS) in Jordan. He brings 30 years of extensive experience in the banking sector across Palestine and (KSA).
He held several senior managerial positions within the financial and banking sector in the KSA, prior to joining the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) in 1999, where he assumed a series of high-level administrative roles. He served as Head of the Islamic Banking Supervision Department for the period (1999–2005), as Deputy Director of the Banking Supervision Unit during (2006–2010), and subsequently as Director of the Market Discipline Department from (2011–2019).
He currently serves as a BOD Member of PalLease Co.
